ASSOCIATE
Roberto is an associate of Asali, which he joined in 2017. Roberto focuses his practice on complex litigation and arbitration proceedings, mainly related to the construction, energy, insurance, telecommunications and pharmaceutical industries.
Roberto has successfully represented clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings handled under the ICC, LCIA and HKIAC rules, as well as in proceedings related to interim measures, enforcement and annulment of arbitral awards before Mexican courts. Roberto’s experience encompasses the successful representation of the leading company in the Mexican meat industry in an ICC arbitration governed by the CISG, against a company engaged in the manufacture of agro-industrial equipment. Currently, Roberto represents an important manufacturer of wind turbine systems in an arbitration proceeding related to the largest wind farm in Mexico.
Roberto graduated summa cum laude from Instituto Tecnológico de México (ITAM). He is fluent in Spanish and English.
Roberto has authored several publications on arbitration and has been recognized by legal directories such as Benchmark Litigation. Roberto is currently on temporary leave while pursuing an L.L.M. at Harvard Law School.
